As per this interesting profile of Erin Mathews by Jason Sheeler in the current Texas Monthly, a listing with "legendary realtor Ebby Halliday, her golden boy, Dave Perry-Miller, society agent Doris Jacobs, Allie Beth Allman, who sold George W. Bush his home; and, of course, Mathews herself" is definitely high-end.

Serious article.

A love letter to Park Cities.

Doesn't do much to negate the 'bubble' aspect of the city.

Apparently you're either in Park Cities or you're no where at all according to the article.

High end would be a minimum of 1 mil plus for me. You couldn't throw a rock in most nicer neighbor hoods in Dallas and not hit a 500k home.

Did you read the article? You'd of thought she was talking about the Fundraiser circuit in Manhattan.

My thoughts generally run to you're either in D.C. or no where at all.

I still prefer Uptown Jake. High-rise condo or townhome living is what I'm used to. UP was a dreaded and not fun 'adult decision' for the wife and child. And I'm definitely not in that realtor's price range. But you're in the bubble as well Jake.

Also, those pikers in Manhattan don't know what a good deal they're getting. By some standards, the entirety of the USA would be considered a "low-end" market. Really, Monte Carlo is the only true "high-end" market in the world, and maybe Moscow.

I'm probably not allowed to post the links here but you can Google them. They're not on Realtor.com I don't think.

A "Beautiful renovated "Pied à Terre" in Monte Carlo is for sale at 1.9 million Euros for a 452 sq. ft. studio, which works out to $5826 per square foot.
"Beautiful renovated "Pied à Terre" 7 Ave de St Roman, Monte Carlo, MO 98000

By comparison, this Moscow 6BR is a steal, at $4.3 million for 2422 sq. ft., a mere $1793 per square foot.
"Amazing Apartment, Leont'evskii pereulok, Leont'evskii pereulok, build.15 Moscow, MC 125009

Just having fun here, obviously.

452 sq ft. That's rough. Must have a great Starbuck's nearby.
