Yes, imagine that! Having something that every other town doesn't have.

It just seems that way when you travel along Preston Rd. and you see the "chain" restaurants there. That's good that Frisco will be getting more fast food places soon.. Do any of you remember when the Burger King was the only fast food place there?

Well, you would think it'd be inevitable for a place like Frisco. I mentioned earlier that there's not even a Whataburger in their city, and the people I've written to at the chain say there are no plans to build there. Have they seen Frisco lately? Sooner or later, there will be enough e-mails and letters to create a demand. And not just with Whataburger, but any other chain, small or large, that hasn't moved in yet. The population is there, but people still have to drive.

If you don't mind Austrian food, I like Jorg's Cafe Vienna in Plano.

Exactly what i'd like to see as well. I'm sick of all the big cookie cutter restaurant chains in DFW. There is no fun in getting food that I can get served exactly the same way every other part of Suburbia across the country.
I'd love to see both higher and lower end independents, offering international cusuine.
DFW is often compared to New York for having more restaurants per capita, but ours are mostly chains. Serving carefully measured portions of the same calculated recipes that are served everywhere else. Pure culinary boredom.
Something independent and eclectic would be a very welcome change. Even an independent focusing on local foods would be great, showcasing locally grown fruits, vegetables, grains, and meats.

I have not been to this restaurant but this is a favorite place of those on the Frisco forum. Bonnie Ruth lives in Frisco and this is her restaurant on Lebanon:
Cafe Tottoir

I moved here from NY and that is one of the things I miss, all the wonderful restaurants.
