Follow-Up
UPDATE and FOLLOW-UP
They build restaurants very quickly in Frisco these days. I mentioned before about Taco Cabana and Whataburger and how those guys had "no plans to build in Frisco soon". Well, they must have been bluffing. I drove by this morning on the Preston corridor and, lo and behold, a Taco Cabana is open in Frisco! That's right, it's their first Frisco location. It's on Preston just north of Lebanon. And also planned for that same area: a new Whataburger, to be that franchise's first store inside the Frisco city limits.
Other restaurant future plans include a second Scotty P's location in Frisco, on Eldorado Pkwy just off the DNT (Dallas North Tollway) and slated to be built next to Sleep Experts at Eldorado Marketplace.
Also, I'll be watching for some developments at the Frisco Market Center, just off the DNT at Main. Several new restaurants are planned for there, including a new Snuffer's. Stay tuned.

Ya I remember when your first posted about some of the chains not having any plans to build in Frisco and now we have those. It is amazing how fast things come in Frisco and they can be built in no time these days.

Did you see the story on the news last week about restaurants in Frisco closing up? They showed all of the places that have closed recently including The Abbey. The thing w/ all of the restaurants in Frisco is they have OVER saturated the market. The weak will lose and sometimes only the strong will survive. I know of several that have closed myself as they were our customers. They had a good business plan, were always busy, other locations still open and thriving but the Frisco scene was just flat out over saturated to support all of them.

Ya i do agree with that. Some restaurants have 2 locations in Frisco, and i do not think that is a very good idea. Especially when there are more just down the road in other neighboring cities.
This is very similar to the Starbucks problem. They oversaturated the market. They have like 3 Starbucks's in a 2 mile radius, which is just crazy.

As I work in Frisco and need something fast and healthy at lunch, I would like to see a salad bar restaurant in Frisco like Souper Salad. We had an awesome one in Atlanta, Sweet Tomatoes. Is that anywhere in DFW?
Glad to hear that Whataburger is coming to Frisco. Sometimes I just gotta have a Whataburger and drive all the way to The Colony on my lunch break.
I really miss Cracker Barrell as well. Seems like McKinney or Allen would be a good location, right off 75. They like to be by freeways and don't know if the tollway or 121 would suit their tastes.
Looks like the Luby's on 121 and Preston is coming back to life.
