We are planning to move this summer. Would like to know the pros and cons of these areas. We would like to be in Coppell ISD. Any other new homes there?
Have read about Castle Hills. Seems like a really nice area. How are the schools there? Any views on that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't know much about those areas, but a friend of mine had Grand build his home a few years ago. He hired an engineering firm to inspect the home over the course of construction and not just when the home was finished. The smartest $5K he ever spent.

I haven't lived in Northlake Estates but have lived in Valley Ranch in the past and I live in Coppell. Having lived in both areas my recommendation would be to focus in Coppell over Valley Ranch. It just seems to have a much more community oriented, family focused feel. You would also have some better city services and be much closer to some really nice parks, the Coppell Acquatic Center and the Coppell YMCA.

Unless you are looking to spend close to a million on a custom home the only new alternatives in Coppell would be David Weekly (sandy lake & Denton tap) and American Legend (sandy lake a little east of Denton tap). Both have a small number of lots and American Legend is so new they don't have a model yet. I also wouldn't overlook existing homes. While many here are built in the 90s a lot of people have done renovations to keep them current.
