My two friends and I are looking to get a place of our own some time in the coming year but we really don't know where to begin exactly. We all live in Plano and would like to stay in the area if possible, but we want to know what our options look like. Is it reasonable for us to find a place to rent with 3 bedrooms that we can actually afford working minimum wage jobs?

You can probably find something in Plano for about $1300. The one snag you may run into is that landlords don't usually like to rent to a group that are not related. What I mean is that there is no head of household who brings in the rent. You can run into a dispute and one person moves out and then you won't be able to afford the rent anymore.
