You know what, because of the responses that I got here, I'm going to give DSW another try.

There's also a new Bloomingdales outlet here in Dallas right next to Saks outlet and Nordstrom. Rack in the shops at park lane.

My daughter and I wear sizes 10 and 11 respectively, so we feel your pain! We usually luck out at DSW so definitely give them a try again. But my favorite place for getting nice shoes where my size is always in stock is online at zappos or onlineshoes.com.

If you know which brands and models you are shopping for, search specifically for them (include the size) on Google Product Search to find out where has the best prices.

DSW carries a lot of common brands. Even though they've redesigned some of their stores so you can't start at one end and just walk up and down the aisles, it's still a good place for shoes. They've fancied it up so the displays are prettier but not as efficient. No matter. They used to restock on Tuesdays (that was a long time ago though so not sure it's the same) so you may want to check on that. They don't carry as many of the larger sizes as they do the 7s and 8s so those 11s will go quickly. I'm a 10 and sometimes I luck out. Great styles overall at pretty good prices with a reward program. They have purses too.

Don't forget about TJ Maxx for purses! Shoes too, don't know if they carry 11 on a regular basis. Also try www.zappos.com. They have a HUGE selection. Free shipping. 365 days for returns.
