OP- for that budget, if you want to be near Uptown, go with the Village.
LOL. 40-something divorcee's live on the south side of Legacy, north side is full of 20-something CCCC party kids. It's a dichotomy!

Be prepared to wait the long haul for a marketing job with no experience. Those are tough to come by. Serving jobs are tighter but you might be able to get something at a chain restaurant. 700 a month is a small budget for the city, but if you can spend maybe 850-1000 you could get something nice areound the Village, not Knox-Henderson.

Shops of Legacy isn't as "young" as what you would probably prefer. Addison is a great area, just not as walk-able as other areas (Uptown, Knox-Henderson). But it is convenient and has lots of shopping/dining.

You could also try finding a roommate to live with in Uptown. I moved here when I was 25 and lived in Addison but eventually moved to Uptown because it's got more people our age and everything is walkable. So you could either find a roommate, or I would second other people's idea to look around knox-henderson, deep ellum, and those areas. I've had friends find success in renting condos for around 800 in Turtle Creek, which is just a few blocks north of Uptown, and still very walkable to everything. You might have to get lucky for that though.

It's also like living on a moonbase. It's like 15 miles from downtown, isn't it?
