I measured 142 in my attic this past summer.

Just so you know ... A 3-car garage is definitely useful here, but no amount of garage space can really replace a basement. The temperatures in your garage won't get as high as those in your attic, but they'll still get high enough to ruin certain things. I mean, we have 115 degree days and such. It's hot!

My home was a model with the garage used for a sales office, so they built in cabinets all along one side and across the front. Its extra deep and wide and has crown molding in the two car garage too. The third car garage is oversized too, my super large SUV fits in it easily. Its 10 foot ceiling along with built ins to the ceiling make for good storage. If I build a home I will adopt these same measures to avoid attic storage perils in Tx.

Lol, "attic storage perils in Texas." That about sums it up! Sounds like you have (and will have again) a super-nice garage!!
