I am wondering about something since past few days. I work in McKinney and stay at Plano. While coming back from office to home, i have been noticing that there are lots of birds (not sure which), thousands of them i guess in and near Allen area, mainly near to the Highway 75. They are usually seen on the electrical lines and those green signs and exit signs. Even over the restaurants and shops.
Sorry if the thread sounds ridiculous but i was just curious so opened this thread.

Grackles are moving into the niche shared with pidgeons that was owned by the passenger pidgeon. They breed and nest in the spring and summer and flock up for protection when the hawks migrate down in the fall. Come a cold and wet week, many will die.

I saw a hawk take one this weekend. The hawk nailed it up in the air and ate it in about one minute.

I've seen this too, at McDermott and 75 area usually just after/around sunset. Not sure why. Weird, isn't it?

Every year there is a gargantuan flock of some kind of bird at Plano Rd and Belt Line (Richardson). Each year, it gets larger, and comes earlier. The other day, there was an equally as huge flock in the parking lot of the Walmart on Lavon Rd in No Garland. They were also very aggressive. I see more and more birds every year. I swear it has to do with global warming and the effects. Birds are nasty, aggressive little dinosaurs. It is very creepy like someone said, Alfred Hitchcok-like. Ick!
