I've been paying through the nose for an iPhone since they came out, but no longer use the majority of its features (other than the camera, GPS, task list, and fitness tracker, all of which I can do with other devices) so I'm considering downgrading.

I can't get over how cheap Cricket is for phone + text + web (1/4 of what I pay at Verizon!). A relative raves about Cricket, but they live in a different state.

What do people in Dallas / Park Cities / Lakewood / Knox-Henderson think of Cricket's service?

I'm hesitant to go with something so cheap (usually never a good sign), but since I've heard good things and don't need all that phone, I'm considering it.

Be very careful before you switch and make sure you understand exactly what you are getting. Even the big companies are not above sneaking in an old technology phone. Most of the cheap plans are 5 to 10 years behind what is offered now.

Do they really do that? I never thought about it, but now that you mention it, it makes sense. Thanks for the tip!!
