We have two kids (4 & 2 yrs) and are debating a move to Lantana vs. Flower Mound .... any thoughts? Concerns over the drilling?

We'll need a bit more information to be of real help. Jobs located where? Housing budget and type of house/lot desired? I live in Double Oak (kind of in between FM and Lantana). We rented in FM before buying in Double Oak. We mainly bought in Double Oak due to slightly lower tax rate and large lot sizes (1+ acres). Lantana is nice but the HOA fees are high IMHO and it's Denton ISD which underwhelms me. We made sure to buy in the Lewisville ISD portion of DO as its split between LISD and DISD.

Thanks for your response. My husband's job will be in Westlake and we're shopping for around $300-$320K. Do the Lantana schools have a good/bad reputation? I know FM schools are good, but am concerned about how large the high schools are (and have heard about some drug issues). I think either location will be good ..... but we plan to put down some roots and be there for a while, so just want to get it right!

How is Trophy Club these days? (Had a friend in college who was from there and I went to visit a 'few' years back.) It's right next to Westlake - you're husband's commute would be among the shortest in the metroplex.

Argyle would be my choice. Great schools and short commute!

I've seen Argyle and think it's beautiful .... very happy to drive though it, but we aren't "land" people. We are low maintenance yards people (think rocks!) and actually like lots of neighbors!
