I'm glad the boondoggle of a construction project will soon be over. 4 years were just wasted on a project that will have little to no impact.

Have you driven it lately or are you just spewing the Tea Party talking points?

Glad to hear that. That makes 2 of us. Make sure you let your representatives know that. We need to be just as vocal as a small minority of anti tax groups. Federal gas tax has not been adjusted since 1993 and that is a long time.

It will have an impact. Especially if people utilize the tolled system when there is traffic. Traffic will catch up to it though.

It isn't going to "fix" traffic jams, but that isn't its purpose. It's purpose is to give you a way out of traffic jams. If you're in a hurry and willing to pay a high toll you'll be able to drive faster. Overall, you'll be in the same traffic as before needing to allot the same amount of time, but with the option to go faster if you're late or in a hurry.

If this model ends up working well, I wonder if we will see other major roads (like Bush, 121, 75, 35 and 114) adopt it. I'd like having the options to pay and get home early, or wait it out.

Not me. I hate Lexus Lanes.

This. Conservatives love toll facilities because the private sector gets their pockets lined by the fools with more dollars than sense, and liberals love them because they allow public transportation to be more viable by artificially inflating the cost of driving.

114 already has it heading out from Southlake. 35E is going to have them when they redo that bit towards Flower Mound and Highland Village.
