Murphy is very family friendly. If you happen to be in the area after school lets out, swing by Boggess Elem/Mustang Park. Tons of kids playing and some parents around. You'll get a good idea of what the community is like.

It's very easy to get to anything we need and 190 is a short drive to get us parts further.

I see kids playing outdoors all the time in my neighborhood. Not huge lots but alot of quiet cul de sacs where kids play basketball or football or soccer in the drive way and front yards. I cant see the back years so suspect those without a huge poll play there as well. Nice outdoor soccer fields with organized league games going on regularly. Summers are hot so less out side then but in door pool in a county facility about a mile away is great as well as a gym and jogging spots elc. I cant speak to really young kids. The neighbor kids I see are ranging from around 9-14 would be my guess.
