Default Doctor's Hospital of Dallas?

Is anyone familiar with this hospital? It's in the Lakewood area on Buckner at Garland Rd, I believe. I have chosen an OB who is also in that area who, so far, I really love, and he delivers at Doctors. Can anyone tell me about the hospital? I know it's super small. Anyone here deliver or know someone who delivered their baby at Doctors?
Thanks so much!

It's in Casa Linda, at Buckner and Garland Road.

I wouldn't want to deliver there, but that's just my opinion. If your baby (god forbid) were to need emergency neonatal care, you'd want to be in a bigger and better facility.

My good friend used to be a L&D nurse at Doctors. She felt like it was severely under staffed and just in general, not a top notch hospital and not equipped for dire emergencies.

Sorry for the downer answer, lol!

I was afraid of that.

Any recommendations of OB/GYN's that deliver at Presby? I want an "old school" doctor, male, who does a good c/section!

I don't know about Presby, but my OB/Gyn was at Baylor. I had 2 c/sections, one being a major emergency. I went to him for 15 years, since I was a teenager, and will go right back in a few years when we move back to Dallas.

His name is Julian Carter - 214-824-2563. I loved Baylor. All of their rooms are private too, as opposed to Presby where if they are full, you might have to share a room with someone.

Dr. Carter came highly recommended to me a long time ago from a friend who's father was a big time doctor in Dallas. He's consistently ranked among the top OB/Gyns in Dallas, and he is just a wonderful, kind person.

Feel free to PM me if you want any more information!

I have seen many patients do very poorly at Doctors Hospital and would not go there myself or send my family there.

Baylor is a much better option... Presbyterian my next choice.

Besides your baby would be born on the 'wrong' side of the lake -- better to be born at Baylor!

Dr. Dennis Factor fits your criteria: 214-645-6737. He mostly works out of St. Paul but is also on staff at Presby. Not only is he my doctor, but he also delivered me when I was born!

Turnbun: Don't deliver at Doctor's Hospital. Trust someone in medical malpractice. Also, always listen to your friend Rosalyn.

Baylor has the best care in the metro, if you go for looks then you will want Presby but carewise Baylor hands down! Dr. Haddock @ Baylor is awsome.
