Default Working in Westlake Live in Dallas or Ft. Worth?

I am considering relocating to the DFW area for a job in Westlake. From the little research I have done thus far, it appears that Westlake is not an incredibly affordable place to live. Westlake looks to be roughly the same distance from Dallas or Ft Worth, so I could live in either place. I am a single thirtysomething girl new to the area and like cultural amenities, good restaurants and the like, but will not be out partying every night. I am also not a big fan of a long commute to work, so location is important.

Definitely look at Grapevine! Lots of culture, good restaurants, and nightlife, and very safe for a single gal.

I don't know what the commute would be like but Uptown / Oak Lawn / Turtle Creek ore even downtown in Dallas sounds good for you. I know the TRE train goes up that way, but not all the way...

Commute from Uptownwould be AWFUL! TRE follows 183 and doesn't go anywhere close to Westlake, and there is no bus service for connections up there!

Westlake is west of Southlake. It's out at the intersection of 114 and 170. The Solana office complex, which has several corporations, such as Microsoft, Verizon and Pfizer, is in Westlake.
