Default Upscale places to live close to Downtown/Uptown

I am looking to get an apt. close to Uptown/Downtown maybe within 5-10min drive.

Would like upscale, trendy, restaurants, bars, SAFE(Pretty Important)!

Any suggestions?

Pretty much any of them IN uptown should fit the bill. No need to drive, you are describing uptown or the Knox/Hendersen area.

On Google map put in 75219. Over a bit to the east you'll see HiWay 75, the North Central Expy. A couple of blocks > west of 75 is a north/south street called McKinney. At the bottom near downtown is Pearl St. A couple of miles up but south of Mockingbird you'll find Knox.

On or near McKinney, from Pearl to Knox is what you're looking for. Upscale, trendy, restaurants and bars and it's HOT and it's pretty SAFE. You can catch a bus, take the train or drive downtown with no problems.

Enjoy.

I'm very familiar with Uptown. You described "to a t" in your initial posting. But you should probably check out the M-Street/Lower Greenville Area as well. There are fewer apartments over there, but the lease rates are more affordable. Moderator cut: advertising
