Does anyone know where I can find Arabic lessons in DFW for a teenager? I know there are classes offered at a couple of the universities, but I am looking for something outside of college classes (It does not have to be for credit).

Thanks!

Check with Dallas International School Language Program. They just started offering it as an after-school activity.

Check out if Dallas Country Community Colleges offers Arabic in summer. I know Richland College (also part of DCCD) has Arabic.

A quick google search gave me plenty of options including one below (you might want to call the phone number on the link)
Learn A Most Wanted Language (in Dallas or Online) - Arabic in Dallas (AID) - Irving, TX

Another interesting option might be to have your teen join a Meetup group such as this one
Dallas ARABIC LANGUAGE CARAVAN/QAFILAT ALLUGHA AL ARABIA (Richardson, TX) - Meetup

Jennifw: Thank you! I will definitely call the school in the morning. This seems like a great option. It looks like she would be in a class with other students her age and there would be no pressure for a grade. I want her to enjoy the summer.

Carolixit: Thank you as well. I am aware of the program at Richland (several of the universities have 1st year Arabic...UT Arlington/UNT). I am trying to find a program that isn't at a university. She is already in an early college program and she wanted to take some time off from studying this summer. I also came across the meetup from searching the web. She's a teeenager and most don't want to hang out with adults but I will talk with her about possibly attending one...it may be fun! I never came across the other option you provided. I will keep that one in mind as well.

I know she would like to continue learning Arabic but also have FUN doing so. She spent last summer in Jordan with other students her age. She had a blast and hopefully she can do the same stateside.
