DH and I upgraded our phones 2 days ago, and we got awesome Samsung Galaxy Notes. Today he dropped his and broke the screen.

Luckily we enrolled in ATT Mobile Insurance, monthly payments. Now we discover that the plan has deductibles, etc. and using this service is a bit cheaper than getting an unlocked international version .

I googled cellphone repair services and I called the ones that were open but they say the model is too new and they don't repair it. I was wondering if you guys know of any places here in Dallas. Hopefully it would be a bit cheaper than the alternatives I have now .

Thanks in advance.

I also just got the new Galaxy and I'm loving it.

There is a place in Plano in Collin Creek mall called I believe CPR screen that repairs them. I don't know if they will repair this one but worth a shot. They are located downstairs.

I've also found a place called cell phone doctor. The note is not posted but it could be that their website isn't updated. https://www.drcellphone.com/shop/home.php?cat=546

Good luck,

I used the place in Collin Creek as well. Nice job, fast and reasonably priced.

Thank you guys. 3 places, Dr. Cellphone included, told me it's about $350 and this would void ATT and Samsung's warranty. It's cheaper to go with ATT's insurance claim and they are supposed to give me a new phone. Ouch!

I bought an Otter Box case now. It looks like a tire haha. Hopefully it and the screen protectors it will be enough.

I agree, Naima, the phone is great! I had another Samsung before with touch screen that would not respond all the times, etc. I wasn't very convinced to buy the Note, but now I'm in love. So many apps. and you can get rid of the ATT bloatware, customize everything, the 4G LTE is very fast... ahh! <3 (LOL)

Samsung I love them and curse them. I have had several Samsung phones and they were all good phones but Samsung really does not support the phones after they are sold. Forget about up grades on operating system I can up grade my Galaxy One now but waiting for Samsung Galaxy due out this summer.

I also love thier TV's

Well, I said that the Note let people get rid of bloatware. My mistake. I could not uninstall AT&T Navigator, only "hide it" erasing the icon. Same with the rest of ATT apps.

@Pete53Fr. I used to swear for Samsung, especially TVs, but we have several friends that bought +$1500 TVs during the last couple of years and they died right after the crappy warranty ended. I don't know if it is a Samsung issue or these new big flat screen TVs that are not lasting.

Hopefully these phones, being more expensive, will be better than the last ones we have. If not, I'll go with another brand next time.

I just had to have my son's Galaxy Tab 3 repaired under warranty because the charging port broke. They had me take it to RSI in Plano. It is a certified Samsung repair shop. They sent me a UPS label to ship it, but since it's in Plano I dropped it off. They finished it in 2 hours. They also take walk-ins, so you might check there.

Another great place for cellphone repair is at the corner of Greenville Avenue and Caruth Lane...in the shopping center with the Starbucks. Don't know the name but I think it says cellphone repair. They are super fast and have very competitive pricing.
