Has anyone ever been to Pizza by Marco or Extreme Pizza and tried their vegan pizzas? Any good? Also any other pizza joints that have a vegan option worth trying no more than 15 min from 75230?

Marco's is a Dallas tradition. I think we had Marco's pizza at about every birthday party I ever had. Love them but have NOT tried their vegan pizzas.

Cane Rosso has vegan cheese. It's pretty tasty, actually.

Thanks TXNGL and Bungle. I mentioned those two because they have locations close to my folks. I'll have to catch one of Cane Rosso's mobile ovens. Looked on Dallas Vegan, I have never tried Marcos or Extreme so just wanted to know if anyone has so I won't be wasting my time. Mellow Mushroom's regular pizza I remember is great, but their vegan option IMO needs some work, and the options at Whole Foods, Trader Joe's i.e. Amy's, Tofurkey taste like garbage.

I should also add that the brand Cane Rosso uses is Daiya (I think). I'm lactose intolerant, not vegan so I've tried different lactose free cheeses. They're not all that bad, I wish more places had them and because Cane Rosso does (and their pizza is awesome) I make the drive from Frisco to Deep Ellum a lot!

BIG difference. Thin crust is like frozen dough. They don't spread the cheese to the edges. The Pan pizza looks like Pizza Hut pan and tastes even worse.

Anybody else from Chicago that has tried the Rosati's down here? What do you think?

I'm from Chicago and the Rosati's in Mckinney is the real deal. Just like it is in the burbs of Chicago to me.

I really dislike Whole Foods pizza in general, so I'm not surprised. My pizzaholic kid doesn't care for it either.

Their vegan pizza (on wheat crust, not that rice crust crap) is OK, but it doesn't have enough toppings on it.

AND it's outrageously expensive!
