I've been looking at condos online and saw a nice one on Enterprise Dr. Farmers Branch, 75234 for the high 80's.

I'm wondering why this is so cheap. Does anyone know anything about this area? I'm looking for place for a retired person where crime is very low and the neighborhood is nice and not near a run down area. If anyone can give me any info on the above area I'd appreciate it. Also I'll take any suggestions for any other areas.

The HOA fees are pretty high on that unit. I'd have to check further but many older complex raises HOA fees to do needed updates then it makes them harder to sell. There have only been 4-5 sold in the last 2 years which half were foreclosures.

There could also be a high amount of rentals which can make financing hard to get in a condo complex.

Just speculating. You should get an agent to help answer your questions.

Another good area to check is 75206 off E. University between Greenville Avenue and Skillman - between SMU/Park Cities and White Rock Lake on bus lines near DART rail, Central Market, tons of retail/restaurants and Central Market. I know you don't need good schools but it has them for resale.
