Again, USA doesn't "sell" visas that alow you to come over and work. You MUST be sponsored by an employer who has already made you a job offer, or by an immediate family member (parent or child). You can pay for a tourist visa (B) but that doesn't allow you to work. The only way you can come over on your own is by willing the Diversity Visa Lottery, and again, there isn't a fee for it.

British people don't qualify for the DV unless they're from NI, IIRC.

[quote=Elained10;27400528]I spoke to the visa rep and he said I qualified for that visa and it was only £2400 and they would also get me settled help with moving, setting up bank accounts, schools, jobs, appartments, everything basically athough that was for moving to Australia and only with the qualification of an HND in fitness health and exercise as well as a gym instructor. I'm hoping its easier if I'm a registered nurse or midwife as well as my other education but I will have to double check how different it is moving to the u.s.[/QUOTE

Just come illegaly everyone else seems too! Have a few more kids and your anchored in!

just kidding! Sounds like a great plan, but if i had the choice of Dallas or Australia Id pick Australia!

Immigration is not a problem, illegal immigration is. We are a nation of immigrants and we understand the value of man power, brain power, skills and financial investment that we need and immigrants can offer. We just need to do better screening to encourage legal immigration and stop illegal immigrants who become a liability.

Yeah all of that would have been nice to do before 11 million people came across with almost no skills, but they're here now and have multiplied. It is what it is.

Lol it's always an option if your desperate to leave.

Finding a decent person to marry may be more difficult than coming here legally. I don't know, but I hear the single life is difficult here. Im gay so I can't legally get married. It's not a problem I have Yet.

Look into Grayson county; Sherman/Denison/Pottsboro. This county has the oldest demographic in the state. Healthcare up the wazoo. Very friendly folks. We left DFW and never looked back. Housing is reasonable. We have every fast food restaurant you'd like. And 30 minutes away is Choctaw casino which is fun and has a superb steak house.
I agree; go to google maps and look at the street scape.
PM me if you want to get hooked up to a local Realtor here in Grayson.
