1) A big part of the State Fair's attraction is its limited time frame. Having a watered-down version of the Midway open for several months will dilute that.

2) I doubt this would be anywhere near as "family friendly" as they plan. More like a magnet for bored teens from the surrounding area.

Agree with you 100%. The Fair is a huge attraction because you can only go at X time. Going all summer long (when it is 100 degrees plus)... no thanks.

I don't believe it is open outside of the State Fair.

People are always complaining that Fair Park is underutilized but once a plan comes along, they still complain. People can never be satisfied.
