I'm currently looking at houses in the reservation but they are few and far between. So my back up plan was CCreek. I love the community in the Reservation and I just don't really hear that in Canyon Creek - mostly I hear how beautiful the homes are.

I also looked in the Reservation earlier this year. I bought in Richardson Heights (West Arapaho Heights), just south of the Reservation. I have been very pleased with the active Neighborhood Association and community feel. The homes in my area are smaller than those in the Reservation and Canyon Creek. You may want to consider west and south of Heights Park, where the homes are larger.

South of Heights Park is Richardson Heights, and those homes are smaller on average than the homes in Heights Park.

As a general rule of thumb the further north you go in Richardson west of 75, the newer and larger the houses are. Also houses close to 75 tend to be the smallest.

In Heights Park itself the 500-600 blocks of the streets are small, the 700 blocks larger, the 800 blocks the largest. Lockwood west of Weatherred has some pretty sprawling houses, as does that end of Thompson.

If you look at II creeks, you might like that, it's in the heart of Canyon Creek at Custer and Lookout. There is about to be a 2300 sq ft home for sale there with great finish out built in 2007. *wink wink*

See - everyone talks about the homes - no one talks about the community or neighborhood.

Actually, I know quite a few people in Canyon Creek and they rave about the community and their neighbors. Several of them have lived there for 20+ years and a few have just moved from one house to another in the neighborhood as their family needs changed.

I suspect you don't hear about the community on here because we don't have any posters who live there, but we do drive thru and can attest to the visual appeal.

Nobody on this board lives there.

Hmmm - I guess I just haven't heard much about the community - other than it is very much like Plano.

Well, part of it is zoned to Plano schools. I don't think it's like Plano at all, but I suppose that depends on what "like Plano" means to you. There's lots of different types of Plano out there; it's a big place.
