The Woodrow Wilson mock trial team is one of 24 schools to qualify and compete at the state competition March 7-8 in Dallas.
The team has advanced to the state competition each year since 2002 and finished as high as third oin those years. It has also won the state competition several times since its formation in 1979.

I have some very fond memories of practically living at a few friends homes who lived in Lakewood when I was growing up. One was on Lakeshore (not sure if the house has been torn down...I hope not!) and another who was over on West Bay Circle right by the lake. Such a beautiful area. My grandparents have a business over there that my mom now runs (at the intersection of East Grand Ave and Gaston next to the White Rock Yacht Club--that's what it used to be, not sure if it's still named that anymore) and my grandparents used to live on Santa Clara (loved that street too) in a one story Tudor. Anyway, my favorite street in all of Dallas is still Tokalon.
Also, as an aside, I swear that one Halloween night when I was in high school there was a carload of us driving around White Rock Lake. We turned a bend, and a woman in glowing white clothes was standing in the middle of the road. We drove past her, absolutely freaked out. We turned around as soon as we could and went back but no one was there. I know I sound like a freak, but it's true!!!! I've always wondered all of these years if it was someone pulling a prank...I sure hope it was!!
Anyway, lots of good memories from the Lakewood area!!

There's a really large price range in this zip (75214). The area bound by Mockingbird/Abrams/Gaston/WRL is super expensive (up to $3 million+ stately mansions on acreages) which skews the average up a lot. Outside this area, there are still homes in the $100s available in the Lakewood Elementary zone.

Well everyone knows everyone in Lakewood! I love trying to figure out who married whom among the big Italian families.
Galore I agree there is a wide range (that's one thing I really like about my 'small town') but you might be very hard pressed to find much in the 100s.
See this: Dallas Real Estate Blog: M-Streets & Lakewood Sales Stats Year-to-Date It's showing avg. sales price in 75214 (Lakewood) and 75206 (MStreets, Lower Greenville, Vickery Place Knox-Henderson) combined at $416,985 up from $393,812 last year.
