First of all i just wanna say thank you for taking the time to read this, please no harsh comments, even if i may sound stupid.

Ok so i live in Oklahoma and i often make trips to the DFW area. I enjoy going to Cowboys, Mavs, Rangers, and Stars games so i know that area pretty well. I want to make a trip to Grapevine over spring break to check out the mall at Grapevine Mills Parkway. It has been years since I have been to Grapevine. I do know that there is a lot of road construction constantly going on in that area.

Now to my question. We are coming into grapevine on Hwy 114 going east (coming in to TX on S-81 then exiting onto Hwy 114 E. We plan on taking the 114 Business exit (NW Highway, E Southlake Blvd). Will we run into any major road construction issues on 114?

Yes, but all of the roads have signage and are well marked. Just watch for the signs and you will be fine. The construction is in its final stages and will be done this fall.

Are there a lot of detours, or is it just a bunch of blocked off isolated lanes?

Just narrow lanes, slower speed limit and occasional closures (mostly late nights).
