I would bring it. There have been times when there have been neighborhoods out of power for awhile when it could be used. Just a few weeks ago a neighborhood in Murphy was without power for a whole day due to upgrades in the area being done. This was in a new neighborhood area with underground utilities. You can use it for all kinds of other reasons. We have one as do several friends. From personal experience (work related) I can tell you that at times when they become "in demand" there has been a severe shortage of them in this area. I would rather have it and not need it for emergency reasons than need it and not have it.
