To be honest... I would not want to pay the property taxes on some of those high dollar homes. But I guess if you can afford HP, you can afford a few hundred thousand a year in property taxes.

Some MCMs in Bluffview, contemporaries too. Quite a few contemporaries going up on West Lake Highlands Dr. The Cloisters in Lakewood also has a few contemporaries.

I guess white marble and gold trim on a French looking home does not tickle my fancy.

Why bother? It's not like any of us can afford these houses.

Are you seriously surprised that someone hasn't built a brand new house priced in the top 100 in Dallas? What builder would be stupid enough to do that? What lender would be stupid enough to finance the construction loan? Those kind of houses are built for someone. They may sell them later on the used market, but no developer in their right mind is going to churn out $7 million homes and then hope someone buys them after they're built. They're better off investing that money by building 14 $500k homes.

No, they are better off going a few blocks further out and building 55+ $200k homes on the same size plot of land. If you are a developer that wants to make a nice profit
Less upgrades demanded at that price that keep the overhead much lower and the profit margin higher.
