Has anyone successfully used a Toll Tag in NYC ? A friend of mine uses his EZ Pass (NYC version of the Toll Tag) when he visits Dallas with no problem. Not sure if the reverse would work. Yes, I will call them in the morning, but just wondering if anyone knows the answer before I call.

well, today, (Good Friday) is a holiday for NTTA. So...... I'll bring my TollTag (I have one of the old devices, not the new stickers) and I'll report back here if it works.

LOL.

NTTA only has agreements with in-state agencies at this time, ie Austin and Houston.

Here is the list of agencies that they have agreements with.

https://help.ntta.org/QA/Interoperability/

Your TollTag works anywhere in Texas where there is a toll road. It also works at DFW International Airport for pass through and "terminal" parking, and at Love Field parking garages.
Other toll roads in Texas include:
  1. Houston
  2. Austin
  3. Tyler
  4. San Antonio (soon)
  5. El Paso (soon)
Also watch for parking areas in downtown Dallas (look for our orange "T"), and check here regularly for an updated list.

I read both websites before my trip.

What through me for a loop is I "thought" my friend used his EZPass in Tx, but he actually obtained a TollTag while visiting and used that. So, I was mistaken based off of his initial wording. I tell you, we shouldn't complain about tolls in TX in comparison to NYC! lol!
