Hello, I'm 28 yo AA male moving to the Dallas area for a job(Grand Prairie). The job location is directly between I-30 and I-20. I want to rent a 1 to 2 BR apartment in a decent area, it doesn't have to be upscale/luxurious just not a bad area, just a normal area. I don't want to commute that far, maybe 20-25 tops (drive a gas guzzler). Budget around $800 or slightly more depending on the amenities, cheaper the better for saving. Thanks for your help!

The nicer and newer apartments will be located just south of I-20.

thanks, are there any other decent parts of Grand Prairie? Is south Arlington the same way. I also saw the northern parts of Irving had really expensive apartments(las colinas/valley ranch) so I assuming those are the nice parts of town.

There are lots of nice apartments on Hwy 360 just north of I-30. That's on the GP/Arlington border. Also around FAA Blvd. That should be an OK commute and lots of singles living in that area who work at the DFW airport.
