Hello All, we are new to Plano....moved about 4 weeks back from Kansas. My li'l guy turns 5 this month and I am looking for bday party locations in Plano for a 5 yo boy.

I know the usual suspects....Chuck-E-Cheese, Pump It Up, Bowling.....

Any inputs will be helpful.

Thanks!

Yours may still be a little young (and depending on age of friends) but we did Adventure Landing for my son's 6th birthday. Also, Infinite Bounds (near Park & Preston) is one of my absolute favorite places to have a birthday party...we did our son's 4th, 5th, and 7th birthday there. It's a gym, with the usually gym stuff, plus bounce houses, a foam pit, etc. Best part of the workers, they really engage the kids in play, including a water gun fight and a foam war (parents vs kids). Easy, fun, and reasonably priced. Also good for mixed age guests.

Your kid might be on the cusp of too old for Indoor Safari Park, but my younger daughter loves it. There's a jungle theme throughout with mcdonalds-esque tubes and slides, a cheesy little train, and some mechanical animals kids can ride on that make me laugh. It's made for birthday parties.

If there aren't too many of you (ie just family) then I'd also recommend taking the DART train to the Dallas Zoo, or if he's a relatively athletic 5 year old, the Perot Museum.

@PlanoGirl Let me check out Adventure Landing & Infinite Bounds. I did check JumpStreet's website while searching online.
Thanks for your reply.

@TheOverdog The Indoor Safari Park did come up while looking up places online....I am not sure my almost 5 hyperactive boy would enjoy that place hence I did not include it in my list.

We will have a couple of families w/ kids from the age group of 2-7yrs. Let me check Perot Museum though for future adventures.

I wouldn't recommend Indoor Safari Park. We've attended a couple of parties for 4 year olds and the kids had an okay time but none of the host parents were happy with how things were run. We've had fun parties at ASI Gymnastics and attended quite a few at Pump It Up.

@fndmom I am not too sure whether my child would enjoy Indoor Safari Park. I know for sure he will have a great time @ Pump It Up....but that is going to be as loud (read migrain inducing) as Chuck-E-Cheese's.
ASI looks good. Thanks!
