Ok so you guys probably wont believe it but ive never actualy been in Sfuzzi's in Dallas before. I know its the "hip" place that where everybody goes to be seen, but i've never been inside before. I want to take my family there to eat. I know they have a full service bar, but we do not plan on ordering alcohol. Do they have an age requirement, and do they serve regular soft drinks?

Yes i sound like a wimp, no i don't care

It's been years since I was in a Sfuzzi location (in another city), but they are a chain, a somewhat upscale Italian chain. Food is decent; looks like they've kept the decor/design updated through the years. I think I've only seen the one in Irving-Las Colinas since moving to Dallas. That one looks modern and reasonably upscale, but I'm not sure it's exactly the place to "see & be seen". Hope this helps!

Call the restaurant during their off hours and ask them. They will know the answers.

I'm really unhip because I had no idea Sfuzzi was the place to see and be seen. Guess I need to get out more!

It's a hip spot if you're in the uptown single crowd. It's kind of a weird pick for family night out- not because of anything scandalous, just that the food is so-so and you and your kids aren't exactly "on the prowl".

And yes, they serve soft drinks!

As nice as I'm sure it is, is a chain place actually that popular with the Uptown young professionals?

It's not a chain like Chili's; they have 2 locations and I bet most people in uptown don't know there's a second one in Las Colinas. I didn't until I read this thread. Sfuzzi's WAS a national or regional chain back in the early 1990's.....about the time most of the uptown kids were in diapers.

The McKinney Ave Sfuzzi's has a popular patio, great brunch, and a decent bar scene.

I guess they must have downsized somewhere along the way... The ones I went to years ago were in Houston and Atlanta (early & mid 90s).

i also remember Sfuzzi being popular in the early 90s. I would be shocked if its still considered hip and upscale by young professionals (25-30 year olds).
