The nurses at our hospital were praising this place last week. I haven't been there yet, though

I haven't been yet. I go to King Spa since it's closer to me. But yes, you have access to all pools and saunas after you pay admission. It is a family friendly place and there will be kids - read the Yelp reviews.

It's an asian bath house. It is NOT a spa. Two of my friends went together thinking it was a spa as advertised. THe were put in the same room for a massage (not requested) and then received the most unprofessional and uncomfortable massages. And these are ladies who are familiar with good quality massages. At the end the one massage therapist handed my friend her "uniform" and said "you go now" Really??

Apparently if you're looking for some fun pool time, it's a good place to go.

Well...you have to know the difference. King Spa and Spa Castle are modeled after traditional Korean Spas or bathhouses. Jjimjilbang - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is not the The Crescent. Far from it.

My parents have been. Said it was fun and relaxing. Apparently you need to be okay with nudity in some areas, though!

I love King Spa and have recently bought a Groupon for Spa Castle. As was noted previously, these are not spas in any stretch of the imagination. All wet areas require nudity, and are single sex, while the common areas such as the saunas, food, etc are M/F. You are given scrubs to wear in the common areas, it is an experience. I will, however, take a King Spa Magic Cell Scrub and Massage over any "spa" massage I have had, and I have had quite a few at the upper echelon places, including the Crescent several weeks ago! At $85 including tip for 90 minutes it is phenomenal..just put your modesty away and go with the flow..The first time I was weirded out, now I cant wait to go again! While you will see families there, mostly Korean, I wouldn't consider it for an outing...
