Keep your kids away from Prosper ISD. Especially if they're of the elementary age. That district has covered up two cases of sexual abuse and one of a kid threatening to kill everyone at school. All the administrators are longtime buddies so they cover for each other.

If you don't believe me, check out their teacher retention rate. Teachers can't last more than two years in that unprofessional and unethical environment. They don't even have an HR department for employees to voice concerns, nor do they follow state laws on reporting cases of sexual abuse.

I would be curious to know if you live in Prosper, Jrcrew? I have two children in PISD one at the middle school and one at the high school. My family and I have been in Prosper for two years and have had no real issues with the schools except for the middle school giving detention for any small infraction. We moved here from Frisco for two main reasons. One, the city has grown faster than the roads and I put that blame on the city not wanting buyers to move north and waiting on developers to complete the roadways when they build new additions and shopping centers. Second, where the schools, mainly the administration. The schools had grown so fast that most of our children’s teachers were 1st or 2nd year out of college. Trust me there were several incidences at the schools one of which was sexual misconduct and it was covered up. And one involving our son nothing happened but she was young and acted improper and that teacher is no longer there.

We love Prosper and its small town feel and will grow in such a way that our housing prices should sore when this housing crunch is over. Even though this city is growing fast it still retains its friendly atmosphere. I have no regrets about moving here and think it is one of the nicest areas in the DFW metroplex.

Very interesting. I have lived in Prosper for 15 years and have never heard of anything like this before.
