McKinney hands down!! Get on 75 north and take exit 39 which is Eldorado Pkwy. Go west for about 5 miles. Stonebridge Ranch will be on the right. That's where he would want to live. Blue ribbon schools, and a club ONLY for Stonebridge Ranch residents. This club also has a man made beach.

The problem with West Plano is that you can start to see poor looking people around and that is never a good sign. West Plano is nice but it is NOTHING compared to West McKinney. Plus the homes in West McKinney, especially Stonebridge Ranch are much newer and nicer.

What part of West Plano is poor? I see exotic cars every day on West Plano. East Plano is old looking compared to West Plano. That holds true for anything town north of PGBTP and the east side of 75. Each town has an ideal area to live. When buying a home, just make sure to keep in mind future resale, proximjty to job location, and school district. Things also to consider is HOA fees. Is it worth paying a high HOA fee if you never use the amenities?

I never said West Plano is poor. There does seem to be some rather "shady" characters hanging out in the West Plano area though. Close to the community college that is about a block south of the Whole Foods.

There is no community college in West Plano...

There's not even a community college anywhere west of 75, and the one community college in Plano (off of spring creek east of 75) is in a quite nice area.

I've lived here for over ten years, went through the public schools, go all over Plano (not just the west parts) and I have to say, I am completely baffled by your comments.

That's already near the border of Dallas area. Once your cross over PGBTP on Preston going south, that area is shady. Cheaper apartments and older homes. Ever see the cars at Whole Foods, there are some cars well over $200k on the weekends.

Then disregard Park Cities and PH as well because with good location comes proximity to Dallas dilemmas. BTW every city has proximity to some lower income area. What do you suggest to deal with this? Lock them all up in a Compound? They are part of the society, either we give them a hand to get up or stop complaining. Poverty isn't infectious and easily cure able.

Okay, I stand corrected on that. Still not sure where the shady people are though.
