News reports stated that people in the DFW area felt it. Did you? Where were you at the time? What did it feel like?

I don't remember anything unusual about that time, but we're in N. Dallas. Thoughts and prayers to those affected though! May the deceased rest in peace.

I remember thinking I was hearing thunder around the time of the explosion. I checked my weather channel app, saw nothing on the radar that would explain the noise, and figured it was probably something else. Looking back it might have been the explosion but given that I'm at least 80 miles north of West, I'd be surprised if that's what it was.

Amarillo registered a 2.2 on the Richter scale. So that was probably what it was.

Ditto, from W. Plano, I was watching radar for pending storms and none were any where near DFW area at that time. I had the TV on as well and heard something and turned the TV on mute but didnt hear it again. I am surprised it was heard as far as we are but that was a horrific blast. Reminds me too much of my days in Refineries over the years.

Back to topic please. There is a thread in Texas about this.

I live in Little Elm and heard a sound like distant thunder, which I noticed b/c I medicate my dogs before storms and it was early.
