I am looking for recommendations for a company that can remove floor tiles from the concrete.

Does anyone have any recommendations ? or know of any day labor locations near west plano/carollton area ?

If it's attached to cement board, which it should be, it's easy to remove it yourself. If I were you I'd demo the floor myself and pocket the savings. You should be able to rip up an entire kitchen floor in an afternoon.

Just my $0.02.

You can also rent tools at Home Depot to make the job easier. Just be sure to wear long sleeves and eye protection, and put cloth over tiles that you're hitting with a hammer to prevent shards from flying up and hitting you.

If you hire day laborers, they're not bonded. If they hurt themselves demolishing your floor, they could sue you...and you'd lose. Something to think about.

And if you let them in your house and they see what you have, they could come back and rob you... I would never use day laborers for any job on my property!

I just did this job and it was pretty easy. I air compressor and a cheap air powered chisel from Harbor Freight is all that was required to get it up. My tiles were laid directly on concrete.
