Does DART provide a tool you can use to estimate the amount of time between stops on a given rail line? We live close to the Orange line, and would consider using DART to get to DFW using that line and the bus connector to DFW, but don't know how to plan it time-wise.

Go to DART.org and view the rail schedules. Count the minutes in between stations by the arrival times.

Believe or not those schedules are very accurate.

OK, I guess I can do the math... Was hoping there was some sort of table or tool available for quick reference. Thanks for the info!

The schedule IS the table/tool.

There is a trip planner on the DART.org homepage that offers time details for the entire trip.

Here:

DART Trip Planning

I use DART rail regularly. In my experience, there are delays about 5% of the time but they are otherwise quite reliable. The one problem I have sometime had is the train leaving a station 2-4 minutes earlier than scheduled,

Also consider Google Maps, and use the transit option after you enter TO & FROM addresses, i find that pretty accurate.
It uses the same data from DART's website but gives you interactive place to change your timing and see changes in schedule.
You can do a good "What-If" scenario analysis.
