The drive took me 25 hours non-stop from zip 07063 to Frisco, TX. I was doing an average speed of 75, and stopped every two hours or so for gas.

Also, does anyone know anything about Tioga?
I live in Tioga. What do you want to know?

Thumbs up Tioga, Texas

Tioga is a nice little town. I've lived in the city and find the slower pace her great. Neighbors help one another out. It is a speed trap, so don't go quickly through. We have two restaurants that are good places to stop. One is the ever famous Clark's Outpost Barbecue. It's not the best BBQ I've ever had and is kind of pricey. Across the road in the Spirit of the West Resort. It's a beautiful little oasis. The restaurant there is called Diverso. Their food rivals the Petroleum Club in Ft. Worth. The prices are in the median range for supper and very reasonable for lunch. The two convenience stores on either side of town both serve food. The one on the south side has great breakfasts and sandwiches. The one on the north side make a good pizza. Our school district does a good job. It has grades K through 8th. After that, kids go to school mostly in Gunter.

The people here are friendly and welcome new folks. The area is pretty with Lake Ray Roberts all around. For a tiny town, there are things to do if you like the outdoors. Come see us.

A very long time if one is driving! It would take several hours just to get out of the NYC metro area. I'm guessing about 24 hours not counting stops. If one is flying, they can be to Dallas from JFK in 4 hours 13 minutes ! That's my preferred travel method...lol(I cannot stand long car drives). But by driving, you would get to see a lot of the U.S. and its cities.
