My favorite naturally beautiful spots in DFW:

1) The gorgeous green hills surrounding I-30 in far east Fort Worth/west Arlington.
2) The gorgeous green hills surrounding I-20 in Duncanville/Joe Pool Lake area/south Dallas.
3) On I-35E northbound near the Dallas Zoo/Zang curve/north Oak Cliff....when the Dallas skyline comes into full view. The way the morning sun hits the buildings (not exactly natural, but whatever).
4) The pretty hilly areas in Burleson/Joshua, including "Browns Mountain" and "Turkey Hill". Especially when you're northbound on I-35W, just entering the Burleson city limits and cresting the hill near the Bethesda exit.

People need to (safely) take a glance around more often when they're driving on these interstates. The beauty is there....it's unappreciated by so many and that makes me sad.

Run, walk, or bike on the east side of White Rock Lake. There are a couple of great views looking west where you see the lake, then green trees, and then the skyline poking up above the trees. It's great inspiration to keep up the pace and go out again the next day!
