Buying frenzy grips neighborhood home sales | Advocate Magazine

"...That’s the word over the weekend from a couple of DMN stories (both behind the paywall). And that’s what I’ve been hearing from neighborhood Realtors, too"

It's not just Lakewood he's referring to. All of East Dallas is hot right now. Homes on my street have been going under contract in under two weeks at nearly full list price.

Most homes in my neighborhood are flying off the market, even the ones with what I think are pie-in-the-sky asking prices.

There's one hanging around stinking up the market, but it started off way too high and it's now stale. Other than that, houses have been selling within just a few days with offers at or over asking price.

There was a cute/small remodeled home on Eustis in (big) Forest Hills that went under contract in 2 days. Priced in the mid 200s if I recall correctly.

Last 3 homes I've sold are sold before they go into the MLS. I have one in Coppell to be listed Thursday, I expect a bidding situation. Unbelievable.

My friend is actively looking for new home on Independence road, Frisco. According to him, now Richwoods is maintaining a queue for next phase. I find it hard to believe.

There is a house on my street in E. Dallas that has been for sale for months... I guess it's either over priced or something is wrong with it...
