I'm kind of suprised to hear about the negative things on Grand, it seems they won some "builer of the year" award, also we have liked their floorplans better than the Sotherby, Darling and Highland we have looked at

Okay, fine. Believe what you want and we will all be okay with it. While you have only been out here a week I've been here for much longer and have known enough people to have had problems w/ them and have seen enough news stories on them to advise someone to steer clear of them. As for some of those so called "awards", don't believe everything you hear on some of that stuff. There are so many of these "awards" that they really mean nothing. As for the negative stuff you hear about them, well it is out there and if you will notice other builders that have a better reputation don't like for them to be building in the same neighborhoods. So take it all for whatever you want but just don't be upset later on if something comes up w/ you and the builder.

Stay away from Grand man. Perception is 90% of resale and Grand has lousy perception around these parts. It doesn't matter if they sponser the Super Bowl, if folks in Dallas think lowly of them, it'll hurt resale potential. Not to mention the PITA it may become if you have some of the issues people post about here.

lol Thanks for the "kind" advice momof2
I was not in any way claiming to know more than you who have been there a long time. That's why I come here and ask you guys and ask others here in the area. We do have family here that has been here 25 years or so

Thanks man, I guess I'm trying to see is the perception really bad? reading this forum it seems so, talking to people in the area "so far" I have not got the same picture.. I'm just trying to learn
I will say we love Frisco so far.. funny that I heard on the radio that tonight is a good night to stay in becasue it's "SOO COLD" while it does feel cold, it was funny talking to my uncle in DC and saying it was "freezing" yesterday when it was in the low 60's..
tomorow is supposed to be 20 in DC
So far we LOVE it! we have looked at almost every neighborhood in the area
