Karen Rose is a third grade teacher in tiny Melissa Texas. She and her class entered an international video contest to win a $15,000 classroom technology makeover. Out of over 200 worldwide entries hers made the final five! The competition is in a public viewing and voting stage. It will be worth 30% of their final score. Melissa is so small that they are having problems competing with larger districts such as New York. You can help by voting as we feel this is for all of North Texas!
Go to: Interwrite Makeover Video Contest and view the video. To vote, click the link at the TOP RIGHT to "login/register" and JOIN first. The vote does not count until you do this and get a link back in your e-mail. Then come back to the site and vote for LOW TECH LIFE from Melissa, Texas. This is a real feel-good story about ordinary kids excelling in school and is something that should be rewarded. The contest ends at 9:00a.m. tomorrow so vote now and pass the word along!
Thanks
Doug
