I just started a new job in Addison near Spring Valley and Midway. I currently live in NW Plano near 121, and it is a 30 minute commute both ways. My apartment and neighborhood are super nice, but it is so far from everything. I have been going into Dallas a lot more, and want something closer to work.

I looked at some apartments at Parker and the Tollway in Plano, which would help, but would rather be closer to work. I know that Addison has a lot of apartments, but they are either sketchy with break-ins/bad reviews or Super Expensive and modern. I know Post Addison Circle is popular, but it sounds like parking is an issue (ie parking in a different building from your place. Plus, I don't like that they show your place if you give notice.

Any suggestions from anyone in a similar situation. I am a single woman, and need to feel safe. However, living in Plano is doing nothing for my commute or social life. Any apartment suggestions? I am looking for a 1Br with secure parking. Really want to stay at $900 or less. Open to Farmer's Branch, Addison, Dallas, or south west Plano. Heard Las Colinas is nice and closer to Downtown Dallas and Addison.
Help!

Take a look at Westbridge. SE Carrollton. Trinity Mills and Marsh area. My wife and I lived there for a couple of years(2010-2011). Gates always worked. Management seemed good to us. Most residents appeared to actually care about where they lived.

There are many options, but the one I mentioned is far from MTV beach-house.

Southern Villas are nice and in budget. They are located between Spring Valley and Alpha which is convenient to Belt Line Road(bars/restaurants) and the Galleria, also a very short distance from your job. I prefer buildings with garage parking, over garden style complexes. The garage gate limits who comes in and out and protects your car from the elements.

I was just adding that so people knew my age group. It is not related to your response at all. For example, I looked at Allegro. Super nice, but not really my age bracket.

Both suggestions are a huge help. Just looked them up. Thanks. I would rather go off of personal experience than ratings sights. They just don't seem reliable.

I really liked my time at prestonbridge. I think I was probably the youngest person when I lived there at the age of 24.

Thank you! Keep the suggestions coming. I never saw any of these places while looking online, so I really appreciate it.
