Yes, I am offended when people say that East Plano is ghetto or to stay away from East Plano. Yes, I grew up in East Plano and still live in that area. However, it does tend to keep the snobs out.

There are some rough parts of East Plano that tend to be more prevalent than other parts of Plano. But as general consensus and whole, East Plano is not bad.

Coincidently, I was in East Plano yesterday. Looked at this house and really liked the lot size. Area was nice, not Willow Bend Country but certainly not ghetto. It was nice, mature, landscaped, had tree lined streets and a homey feel. According to my research schools constantly perform better then most Frisco, Allen, Mckinney, Dallas schools. Location is ideal for people working along 75.

Yea I like that house. I would change the paint(personal taste) and change out some of the wood paneling, but at that price for almost an acre and good schools, it would definitely be hard to pass up.

That house (2524 Stone Creek Drive) is in central Plano, not East Plano. It's only a few blocks from Plano Senior High. East Plano is east of 75 Central Expressway, and the senior high is Plano East High School.

He said he's looking for a house OR apartment. He can find both in West Plano, but more likely an apartment/townhome.
