Plano has been the third safest city in the USA, so I'm pretty sure that means all of Plano is safe. You don't get to be named #3 with "a high rate of violent crime, gang activity and a neighborhood you wouldnt dream of going without a gun on you."

Absolutely. I would feel comfortable walking around anywhere in Plano in day light without a gun and about 99.9% of the entire city at night with anything either.

I used to think that, until I found one neighborhood that was great. I have found a community here and love much about Frisco, and dislike much about Frisco, but my neighborhood is great, established and well treed with all of the benefits of development. Never thought i would like living here, but it turned out well, and much more convenient than Mckinney to downtown attractions....great schools.

You really need to look out for "Tiger Moms", unless you like pop quizzes.

I unfortunately live in Plano. Most of the nice places in North Texas is snobby, except Tarrant County. I prefer East Texas.
