I have a vehicle and the ac has stopped working (again) after I have shelled out about 800 dollars to have an evap core. repaired. I am trying to see if there is anyone here who knows of a GOOD, HONEST, and most importantly reputable mechanic. At the bare minimum I am looking to find someone who can give me a second opinion. I just got my evap. core replace in the beginning of July and about 4 days ago my ac stopped working again. I took it to the same mechanic who ran test and said that it is the condenser that has a leak. Now I am no expert on cars but i am thinking that if it had a leak wouldn't that have showed up when I had the repair done about a month ago. However I am no mechanic therefore I cannot be for certain. I am being told that it is going to cost about 400-500 to have the condenser and drier repaired, BUt I don't want to shell out a single dime unless I KNOW that the thing is going to hold up. So back to my original question does anyone know if a good mechanic here in town and also do mechanics have some sort of warranty when these types of situation happens. Thanks for your help guys!

Chuck's Automotive in McKinney. Never found any good reputable mechanics in Plano to satisfy me.
