Opinions on Lewisville for an early 40's married couple with a small child?

Would be looking for a large enough single family home under 230K

Thanks

I have several friends who live there and like it. There are lots of nice homes that are 1990s or newer in your price range. Is conveniently located, and has good city services. From what my friends say, the schools in their neighborhoods are fine.

My only caution is to choose which area you live in. Some of the older areas are kind of run-down and have lower performing schools.

Thanks for the info

I had heard that overall it was a nice area.

Run down parts huh? Guess that's true of any town.

Right, and that is true. For the price range you're looking for, you can easily avoid living in those parts of town.

It's okay. There are better areas close by, but you will get more for your money in Lewisville. Pay very close attention to the schools.
