Hello! I need some info on the commute from Fairview/Lucas area to Addison (Beltline & Tollway). We are considering moving to that area from North Dallas. I am assuming 75 south to the Bush and then south on the Tollway would be the best route. Commuting novice, here - I apologize. Anyone have opinions, suggestions, experiences?

It'll be busy during peak times. Sam Rayburn to DNT would be another option, but obviously tolled the entire distance.

121 as an option would be dependent on your exact location though.

I work at Beltline and the Tollway, and have had to go straight from work to my daughter's soccer games in Allen. So while I've not made the morning commute, I've made the evening commute several times. From work your best bet is the tollway to george bush to 75. On a good day I can make it in under 45 minutes, assuming traffic isnt too bad. But there will be bad days. Many of them. So in that case schedule at LEAST an hour, probably longer on bad days if you are leaving during peak times (4.30 - 6.30). Now if you are able to get non peak hour work times, then you can make the drive in under 30 minutes.

In the morning I would recommend avoiding the ramp from turnpike to southbound DNT. That one can be really really bad. Not sure what I good alternative is though, all the side streets are also congested in that area. Maybe Midway?

I wouldn't recommend it if you have option to move somewhere closer. May be Richardson.

Fairview is a fairly easy answer, but it really depends where you pick in Lucas. From Lucas you have two lane black top roads to get any where and they are FULL of cars during rush hour. Lucas is not easy to get out of to get to a major road. Good luck!
