Hi Dallasites!

DH and I are toying with the idea of buying a house and we're in the process of saving for down payment. We went to Bank of America today (for non-related errands) and we asked about loans. The representative told us it could be more convenient to get a membership in NACA since both of us have good credit but not enough for down payment. She thinks this would be more convenient than Bank of America. However, I have not found enough information or credible reviews about this program. I was wondering if any of you have heard of it. Their website is down so I do not have a point of reference right now.

Any info would be appreciated!

Because it's not out there. Google Naca and you'll see the reviews. Might not be the kinds of reviews you want to read if you're interested in the program, but you'll read enough reviews to know this is not a good program.

I just wanted to know because the representative from Bank of America told us about it. I went to Trulia and there are mixed reviews. I don't think this is what we are looking for :/

NACA organization is not what is claim to be if you read to their website or going to one of their meeting and meet with their counselor you get one story at the end you get hit with a lots surprises and false promises and you are on your own, also you get different paper work that contradicts all their counselor section and I was even on the Meeting where The CEO was given a speech about how NACA is all about helping homeowners from start to the end, what a lie I wonder if you can sleep good at night or if you have conscience. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS LAIRS. I purchased my house through them I'm sick, sad and depressed of everything they put me through and I'm still going through, It;s suppose to be a program that helps you with the start to finish and even costing you NOTHING, i spent closed to 20,000 dollars and i being paying 50 dollars membership fee for 8 years so they can assist you in case you have problems it's all false, NACA IS FRAUD. My advice to all is please if you not ready, wait until times is right because what happen to me and what I'm going through I don't want anybody to experience this pain. IF anybody have any question ask me I will be glad to help. Thank you

I think NACA can work for some folks, but ONLY if you are a bulldog with them.

I signed up for NACA and then never heard back from them again. This happens all the time. They are so overwhelmed with applications and don't have enough manpower to deal with it, so they basically don't process your application unless you are one of the few people who calls and hounds them every day.
