Came home and looked up the significance of the place. It truly has a place in Dallas history. Made me wonder, if there were other drive in hamburger places like Keller's around beside Sonic? Any that are special to you?

I'll take a Keller's burger, Dairy-ette fries and a Dairy-ette root beer.
Now THAT would be the best of both worlds.

Kellers on Harry Hines might be better than the one in LH. Plus, it allows you a good opportunity to explain to your kids why so many women are modeling at nighttime.

I hate to have to be the one to tell you this...but you were nowhere near Lakewood. Casa View is what I'd call that strip of Garland Rd. You could argue Casa Linda or Lochwood.

Prince's Burgers on Lemon was amazing until they took it down years ago. I still miss that place especially since moving back and living so close.

Northwest Highway at Abrams is often considered Lake Highlands, but never Garland. Near Medallion Center.

That's the one OP posted about, dude. It's not Lakewood. Sorry I misinterpreted which location you incorrectly identified.

The careful reader will also note I said Garland Rd (which is in Dallas), not Garland (the suburban jurisdiction).
